An email was sent out last night announcing Microsoft’s enhancement to the site targeting feature for content ads. This enhancement will let users have more control over their ads’ distribution by allowing them to choose from a list of over 20 Yahoo! owned & operated sites and 3 Microsoft sites to specifically target content ads.
MSN and Yahoo! are just two of the premium sites included in this list. The combined Content Ads Network, as of March, claims 43 billion monthly ad impressions.

On a broader scope, this is just more evidence that Microsoft is striving towards the advice The Kinks gave: give the people what they want! And, we want more control over their content ads! Hopefully this is a trend that continues
