- The Google Quality Score in an enigma wrapped in a riddle tucked neatly inside question. Actually, it’s not that difficult to decipher but it is complex enough that we are constantly learning something new about this mysterious algorithm. Recently, we noticed that keywords were assigned a Quality Score before they accrued a single impression. Naturally, we had to do some investigative work as to where this initial Quality Score came from.
- Just like any job out there, you can never be bored with your PPC account. There is ALWAYS something you can do to improve your performance. Check out my never get bored PPC task list as a reminder of things you can always do to improve your PPC performance.
- There is a new keyword diagnostic tool in google Adwords that is slowing rolling out. The new tool runs a report at the campaign, ad group or keyword level and will show you how many keywords are currently not displaying ads due to whatever reason; low search volume, etc. It will also tell you the exact keywords that aren’t displaying ads and allow you to click on them to go straight to your ad group and make any necessary changes.
- A great way to save time when first starting out new PPC accounts is to use the upload tools in Yahoo and MSN. You can easily download your Google campaigns and upload them into Yahoo with their import third party campaigns tool or easily create an MSN spreadsheet and upload them that way.
